QUALIFICATIONS OF ELECTION JUDGES
Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute 115.085. All Election Judges must be registered to vote in the State of Missouri and each election judge shall be a person of good repute and character who can speak, read, and write the English language. No person shall serve as an election judge at any polling place in which his or her name or the name of a relative within the second degree appears on the ballot, unless the candidate is unopposed in which case the relative may still serve as an election judge. Election judges may not hold any elective public office with the exception of being a member of a political party committee or township or being elected to a board or commission of a political subdivision or special district. If an election judge is on a board or commission they will not be allowed to work at a polling place where such political subdivision or special district has an issue or candidate on the ballot.

ELECTION DAY
There will be at least 4 judges per polling place with an equal number of republicans and democrats. Each polling place will have one republican and one democratic supervisor. Polls open at 6:00 a.m. and close either at 7:00 p.m. or until the last person standing in line at 7:00 p.m. is allowed to vote. Election judges arrive at 5:00 a.m. and will stay either until votes are counted or until the supervisors dismisses them. All judges are required to attend a training session prior to the election.
