Will the tax bill be in my name this year?
The tax bill will be in your name if the deed was a straight land
transfer and filed in the recorder's office by August 31st. If the
property was split or combined, it will not be in your name until next

The current owner is responsible for paying all taxes due on the
property. Partial payments are not accepted. If you did not purchase
the property until later in the year, the taxes should have been

delinquent. Call the collector's office if you fail to receive any
