You will need the title or registration to the vehicle, proof of insurance, a Missouri State Inspection Certificate, and a copy of the tax receipt showing paid taxes from the county where you were a resident on January 1 of the previous year.
What is required to be placed on the tax rolls of Taney County?
If you are a new resident as of January 1st and have not received an assessment form from the Taney County Assessor's office in order to receive a personal property tax statement from the collector in the fall you need to call the assessor's office (417-546-7240) and request an assessment form to list the vehicles that you own on January 1st. You must do this in the spring of that year.
